How do I continue to honour my father when he brings alcohol and drugs into my family life?

My biological father was allways an absent father. My mother at a young age did not make a good choice in him. At about age 14 I wanted to meet him, and I did. Ever since he pops up about every 3 yrs now to use me for money,a roof over his head, ect. He's a 50 yr old man now who will not take accountability for his own actions. He's dying of CHF and COPD from all of the drugs hes used in his life. He likes to use that as a way to weezle back into my life. "Im dying". He says he will respect my wishes to not have a drunk in my home or the alcohol. But every time I catch him drinking from a hidden flask in his coat. Iam now 32 yrs old. I told him that Ive lived without him this long and dont wish my sons to learn that drinking is the way a grown man solves his problems. I dont want this evil to be passed down to my children. Ive worked hard to give my children a clean life. Much different then my own upbringing. Ive only been able to do this with Gods grace and mercy. Now Iam torn. How do I continue to honour my father when he chooses to not stop dragging around his evil monkey on his back? How do I do this the right Godly way and without giving my father yet one more pitty story excuse to lift that bottle and take one more sip?
