I have been a member of a church for almost 30 years in which most of the older members do not believe in any version of the Bible except the King James.  I do not believe the King James is the only divine version of the Bible.  I prefer the New International Version.   Our new pastor just announced from the pulpit that the King James would be the only version used from the pulpit which is fine with me if that is his preference.  However, he also made the statement that the KJ version is the only version that will be used in Sunday School Classes and that if a teacher is using any other will resign or be forced to do so.    I would like advice on how to handle this.

I suggest talking to the pastor and also have him give you information on why.. not, "just because". I also think you should do your own research and be open minded about it. The most important thing to do would be to pray about it and ask God to help you. The key word is to be open and available to listen to God when he does talk even if it might not be the answer you were expecting! God bless. Maybe you can help me with my problem. Thanks
